Now here's an interesting site! If you are a fan
of Underground Comics, Mature Reader ecstasy, and general mind-numbing,
try Cat Head Comics on for size!
This page has lots of images, and depending on the speed of the network,
it may take a little while to load. Steve Beaupre, owner/editor of Cat Head
Comics has subjected me to his brand of Brain Spam for more than 25 years!
I understand it all. Let's hope he gets "40-hour
Man" published. It is a selection of the trials and tribulations
(I'm being nice) of Steve's jobs as we were growing up.
Anyone that was a child between, say 1942 and
1980, knows about Little Golden Books. Steve Santi 'wrote the book' on Collecting Little Golden Books and
a simple click will bring you to Steve's web site. Steve has quite a collection
of Little Golden Books and books of all sorts published by Golden. It really
is quite a sight (the books, I mean!). Very knowledgeable when it comes
to LGBs, Steve is a good friend with a boatload of birds that make lots
of noise! His new book, the 4th edition of Collecting Little Golden Books,
is going to hit the stores soon! Stay tuned.

Visit The Pennroyal-Caxton Web site for more information on this magnificent work! There are many pages about Barry's work on the Bible. Well worth the visit!
I would like to extend special thanks to Barry Moser for his kindness and hospitality, and to Cara Moser for 'putting up with me'. Also to Jesse Rossa at Heritage Book Shop for his generous gifts!
Jane Yolen has written more than 250 books, covering
a range that includes sci-fi and fantasy, childrens, and poetry. Her book,
Owl Moon won a Caldecott Medal in 1988. Illustrated by John Schoenherr,
it is the story of a father and his relationship with his daughter, whom
he takes owling. David Stemple, Jane's husband, is the father who took the
children owling at their rural Massachusetts home, many years ago. David
has just finished creating a Jane Yolen
Web site. A great site that includes many of Janes works. Easy to navigate,
don't miss this great site of one of the great childrens writers since the
early 1960's.

Okay, so we take a little break from the children's
books and children's illustrators, but we have to. We're not being forced,
mind you, but we feel we have to bring some attention to Archer Mayor and
his Joe Gunther mystery Novels. We like mysteries, and sell our share, and
we really wish we could get Archer's early novels, but they're not easy
to find, and certainly not cheap! His main character, Joe
Gunther is a Brattleboro, Vermont policeman who, well...buy his books
and find out! Help Archer Mayor
buy a new set of winter tires for his car. Visit this link today! Oh, the
title featured here, Archer's second book, a 1st edition SIGNED
copy of Borderlines is available from
Scott's Books.
Just blast us an email!
